Product Description

The wear of lined pipe fittings is a common phenomenon, which mainly occurs in pipe elbows, tees, and other parts. The elbow wears more than the straight pipe. In the process of conveying the ash and slag in the ash removal pipeline, the pipe wall is eroded and worn by the hard slag, so that the pipe wall is gradually thinned or worn through. Therefore, great attention should be paid to the consequences of wear of ash removal of lined pipe fittings.

Product Features

1. Bends and reducers are more worn than straight pipes.

2. The bottom of the pipe is more worn than the top of the pipe.

3. When the distance of the pipeline is long, the front section wears seriously, the scale increases in the rear section, and the wear is relatively light.

4. Due to the uneven concentration of gray water in the pipeline, the wear degree of each part is different. For example, the wear at the bottom of the pipe and the elbow is faster, because when the flow rate is low, the ash particles are deposited in the lower part of the fluid. When the flow direction changes, the ash is thrown to the outside of the elbow under the action of inertial force. The ash concentration in these parts increases, resulting in accelerated wear. Therefore, it is generally used to pre-weld a wear-resistant guard plate with a thickness of 10mm to 20mm on the outside of the elbow. The straight pipe section is regularly turned 180°.

The factors of pipeline wear

Pipeline flow rate: If the flow rate in the pipe is too high, the kinetic energy of the ash particles will increase, the scouring and impact force of the ash on the inner wall of the pipe will increase, and the wear will be accelerated. The wear rate of the lined pipe fittings is proportional to the cube of the flow rate.

Ash particle size: With the increase in the ash particle size, the wear amount is on the rise, and the wear amount is generally proportional to the ash particle size.

The hardness and shape of ash particles: The hardness depends on the coal type and combustion method. After some coal types are burned, the ash particles not only agglomerate too much but also have sharp edges and corners, which will increase the erosion of the pipe wall during transportation. The greater the hardness of the ash particles, the more serious the wear of the pipeline.

The concentration of conveying ash and slag: The higher the conveying ash concentration, the greater the wear of the pipeline; if the amount of ash remains unchanged and the amount of water is too much, the concentration will decrease, but the flow velocity in the pipeline will increase, and the number of scouring or impacting of the ash and slag on the pipe wall will increase. The wear will also increase, so the operation requires strict adjustment according to the designed gray-water ratio.

It can be seen from the above analysis that the medium flow rate, the concentration of gray water, and the size and hardness of the ash particles in the pipeline have a great influence on the wear of the pipeline. No matter which factor changes, it will aggravate the wear of the pipeline.
