The wear-resistant ceramic lining board solves the wear problem for heavy wear industries such as cement, steel, mining, lithium battery, and metallurgy. The main material of the wear-resistant ceramic lining board is alumina, and its fracture toughness KΙC≥4.8MPa•m1/2, bending strength ≥290MPa, compared with metal materials such as steel, the impact resistance is not very strong, but through some special processes, the impact resistance of wear-resistant ceramic linings can be greatly improved, so what is the impact resistance of wear-resistant ceramics? Woolen cloth? How to improve the impact resistance of wear-resistant ceramic liners?
Surface design with spherical protrusions
The unique mechanical properties of spherical protrusions can evenly disperse the impact force on the liner, reducing the possibility of the liner being broken by the impact. It is a relatively common method to improve the impact resistance of wear-resistant ceramic liners.
Increase the rubber area on the surface of the liner
The wear-resistant ceramic liner is mainly used in combination with rubber. We can make full use of the characteristics of the weak impact resistance of ceramics and the strong impact resistance of rubber, and give full play to the advantages of both. Ceramics are used for wear resistance and rubber for impact resistance. During the process, some rubber is exposed on the surface of the liner (round ceramic sheets can be used). It should be noted that as the rubber area on the surface of the liner increases, the ceramic area will decrease accordingly. While the impact resistance is improved, the wear resistance will be reduced. When using it, it needs to be considered comprehensively according to the actual working conditions.
Alumina for toughening treatment
The impact resistance of alumina wear-resistant ceramics is indeed weak, but this problem can be solved by spherical design, vulcanized rubber, and adding zirconia, so that wear-resistant ceramic linings can adapt to most heavy wear and strong impact conditions.
