Product Short Description:
ELACERA silicon carbide tubes are designed for equipment exposed to abrasion, corrosion, and changing process conditions. We can produce straight tubes, tapered sections, elbows, and custom-shaped SiC components to match drawings and application requirements.
In abrasive or corrosive process systems, metal tubes may suffer from rapid wear, chemical attack, or both.
Silicon carbide tubes provide a ceramic solution for these demanding service conditions.
With high hardness, good corrosion resistance, and stable thermal properties, silicon carbide is widely used for components exposed to abrasive flow, slurry, and chemically aggressive media.

Not Limited to Straight Tubes
Many industrial installations require more than a standard straight tube.
Depending on the equipment layout, manufacturers can produce silicon carbide components as straight tubes, sleeves, tapered sections, elbows, reducers, transitions, and other special shapes to match the drawings.
This is especially useful around changes in diameter or direction, where material flow can become uneven and local wear may increase.
For non-standard equipment, the ceramic component should follow the actual installation geometry rather than forcing the system to use a standard size.
Why Silicon Carbide?
Silicon carbide is often selected when abrasion, corrosion, and temperature changes occur in the same system.
Its high hardness makes it suitable for abrasive powders, particles, and slurry. Good corrosion resistance also makes SiC useful in many chemical environments where metallic parts may deteriorate quickly.
Low thermal expansion and good thermal conductivity help the material remain stable under changing operating temperatures.
Straight, tapered, and special-shaped parts can also be produced for different piping and equipment layouts.
Actual performance depends on the silicon carbide grade, temperature, chemical medium, and mechanical loading, so material selection should always be based on the real working conditions.

Typical Applications
Typical uses include abrasive powder conveying, slurry handling, chemical process equipment, wear-prone piping sections, elbows, reducers, transitions, and customized ceramic components.
In many systems, the straight pipe is not the most critical wear area.
Elbows, reducers, and transition sections often require closer attention because particle direction and flow velocity change in these locations.
What Information Is Needed for Quotation?

For special-shaped components, a drawing or sample is recommended before production.
ELACERA supplies silicon carbide tubes and custom SiC components according to actual operating conditions, installation dimensions and drawings.
