Product Description
Ceramic rubber wear liner panels with staggered rectangular alumina tiles. Designed for abrasive chute surfaces where tile joints, material flow direction, and panel edges require careful wear protection.
Staggered Tile Ceramic Rubber Wear Liner for Chutes
In abrasive material handling systems, liner performance depends on more than ceramic hardness.
The direction of material flow also matters. When particles repeatedly slide along the same chute surface, wear may concentrate around tile joints and exposed panel edges.
ELACERA supplies staggered tile ceramic rubber wear liners with rectangular alumina ceramic tiles arranged in an offset pattern. The panels can be manufactured with rubber cushioning and steel backing for mechanical installation.

Why Use a Staggered Ceramic Tile Layout?
A conventional rectangular tile grid often has straight, continuous joints.
If these joints align with the material flow, abrasive particles may repeatedly travel along the same gaps. This can increase local wear around the ceramic edges.
A staggered layout interrupts these continuous joint lines. The rectangular tiles are positioned in offset rows, creating a brick-like pattern.
This arrangement can be considered for chute surfaces exposed mainly to continuous sliding abrasion.
However, staggered tiles do not eliminate joints. The final layout must still match the flow direction, panel dimensions, and wear conditions.
Ceramic, Rubber and Steel Working Together
Each material has a different function.
Alumina ceramic forms the hard wear-facing surface and resists abrasive contact.
Rubber supports the ceramic tiles and provides cushioning against vibration and occasional impact.
Steel backing supports the composite panel and allows mechanical installation through mounting studs.
This structure can be useful where both abrasion resistance and secure panel replacement are required.
For surfaces exposed only to stable sliding abrasion, a rigid ceramic-steel liner may also be suitable. The rubber layer should be selected for a practical reason, not added automatically.

Panel Edges and Installation Details
Even a well-designed ceramic surface can experience premature local wear if its edges are poorly protected.
Before manufacturing, several details need to be reviewed:
Panel joints deserve particular attention. Large gaps or uneven transitions can expose the supporting material to abrasion.
ELACERA manufactures customized wear liner panels according to approved drawings and installation requirements.
Where Are These Liners Suitable?
Staggered ceramic tile liners can be considered for selected chute sidewalls, hopper surfaces, and material transfer sections.
They are particularly relevant where abrasion follows a relatively consistent path and severe direct impact is not the primary problem.
For high-impact feed points, cylindrical ceramic rubber liners or other impact-resistant structures may be more appropriate.
The best choice depends on the conveyed material, particle size, impact angle, and existing wear pattern.
